Ambit has gone through a lot since it began, just two years ago. I began 20 months ago with high hopes and determination. I had absolutely no doubt that this would be the big one. Yes, I have heard about that in the past, but was always skeptical. For 15 Plus Years of MLM Life, I searched for my place in the most amazing, rewarding and challenging industry around. Always a hard worker, but not always rewarded for the hard work. Yet somehow, I knew.
Having achieved One Million Plus Dollars in earnings from Ambit, and being on track to earn over a million, just this year, I thought it was time to share some of the thoughts, successes, failures that contribute to the Posture of Success! While I do not believe we all become what we think about, I do believe that we must stay laser focused to reach more than the Upper Middle. Moderate success is nearly guaranteed with hard work, but Massive Success only comes from Total Focus and Massive Action. Are you ready for that? If you have read our book, “Of Course You Can”, you know that my mother had the greatest impact on me. She was that focused on her children. I focus on those memories, not the muddy water that surrounded those pure love instructions. It is my mom that first told me the title of that book. But, like a 4th leg runner in a relay, it is only a handoff. It is up to us to set a faster pace, constantly adjust to the environment, and focus on the prize! Running hard is quite tiring when one looses focus on the finish line. And guess what? The finish line is the entry in to a more rewarding life. A life of helping others, growing through relationships, and learning from doing. Remember, a winner does not try, he does. Sure, the outcome is not always what you had in mind, but if you are humble to your own experience, it will reward you with knowledge. But knowledge is not power. It is the application of knowledge that is power! At 20, with college behind me, I was supposed to be ready. All I had learned, was how to study and learn. Setting a schedule of classes, and a timetable for graduation, while budgeting to pay for it all may have been the greatest degree for me. The BBA is on the wall, but the real finish line was learning that I did not yet know. At 24, I began my first formal Personal Development Training. Seduced by the desire to be more than college afforded, I started a year of Personal Leadership Development. It wasn’t about leading others, it was about leading yourself. That was my first brush with the 7 spheres, time management and the anatomy of a habit (good or bad). Shortly after that was my first brush with MLM, as I kept getting invited to look at “Becoming a Business Consultant”, which was their way of avoiding telling me what they really did. I did not join, but it made me aware that there were other ways of earning income. Are you still stumbling on MLM? Or have you recognized it as the greatest leverage an ordinary person can have in the business world? Are you just seeing what happens? Or have you made your plan and staked your claim with determination and focus? Frequently, the difference between success and failure begins with the attitude of approach. Your posture gives you away, as a success, a wanna be or a poser. Having just watched “I Am Legend”, I am reminded of the difference. The star has every reason to lay down. His family and almost everything he knows is gone. His focus on the Regiment to Success is what makes him a legend. Oh, and he saves the world! Plenty of chances exist to re-direct your energy, change your direction, respond to the influence, or should we just say QUIT! Most people start quitting the minute they begin a new journey. Doubt immediately starts taking you out of the Success Action. Do you really know why you are doing what you are doing? If you do, you will. If not, well … To Success, Steve
Hey, if you are in Ambit and have not registered for Ambition, then you just don’t get it. If Failure is not an option, join the other leaders in Dallas. There is no comparison to the knowledge you will gain. And, you will learn how to apply that knowledge. Power anyone? |
